Avoiding Spiritual Denial

This is something we care about a lot – avoiding spiritual denial.

And the separate self is a great conversation for spiritual denial to hide in.

The illusion of being a separate self can be seen through to some extent when we say things like, “I am not the do-er," or “There is no me,” or “The you that’s trying to get this doesn’t exist.”

But it’s not yet the full picture.

And we know this deep down. Because there is something here doing the doing. There is something here that I am. There is something here that has a movement towards, or desire for, ‘getting it’.

It’s not wrong to move through the “no do-er" stage of the exploration, Helen definitely did, and really thought she was at the pinnacle of the nondual recognition, but the invitation is to keep moving.

To see that there is, and never has been, a separate self. And yet there is a me.

To see that there is, and never has been, a separate self. And yet all our lives there’s been doing, deciding, desiring, and ‘getting it’.

And therefore, to see that all there is to know is the nature of, and feeling of, being ‘me’ - who I am. And the nature of, and feeling of, believing I’m a separate self – what I am not.

If all we ever know is that distinction, and utilise that to navigate life, then it makes all the difference in the world.

Would you like to dive deeper into this distinction?

Would you like more ease of navigation?

It will help you discern the difference between these two states in your own life, with no need for spiritual denial to play a part.

Much love

My work involves exploring with people who are on the awakening and enlightenment journey. They’ve already seen a lot but they can also feel that their understanding is more conceptual than felt, and lived. They can feel that there is more to be seen and understood and yet they also don’t know how to ‘get at’ that. I focus on this shift from conceptual into the deeper, felt understanding of it.
